Our tour stars in Cueva de los Verdes, where we will descend about 40 meters to enter this volcanic tube that will surprise you with its vastness and mystery. It is one of the largest volcanic tubes in the world.
At the end of the visit, we will go to Jameos del Agua, a unique place in the world where nature and man came together to create this paradise in the middle of nature. Los Jameos is a spectacular tour that will take you through the interior of a volcanic tunnel.
After the visit to Los Jameos, we will continue our trip through the north of the island until we reach the Mirador del Río, a place that offers spectacular views and is located at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level.
Once we leave the Mirador, we will take a well-deserved rest in the Valle de las 1.000 Palmeras (Valley of the 1,000 Palm Trees), located in the municipally of Haría, where you will have the option of having a buffet lunch (water and wine included).
After the break, we will walk through the municipally of Teguise and visit the Casa-Museo del Campesino (House Museum of the Peasant) We will see this work of Cesar Manrique, in which the artist pays homage to the effort of the island’s peasants (free entrance).
We will continue our tour to La Geria, a place known for its excellent white and sweet wines.
Then we will continue to the impressive Parque Nacional de Timanfaya (Timanfaya National Park), also known as “Las Montañas de Fuego” (“The Fire Mountains”). The visit to the Park will start at the Islote de Hilario (Islet of Hilario), where we will see a geothermal demonstration. From this place you will start a trip of almost 14 kilometers through which you will be surrounded by lava and volcanic craters. Here we give you the option of a camel ride.
After the visit to the Parque Nacional de Timanfaya (Timanfaya National Park), we will go to the coast to visit the fishing village of El Golfo. Here you will come across El Lago Verde (The Green Lake). It is a spectacular lagoon of emerald green waters that forms part of a natural volcanic environment of great beauty.
Our last stop will be at the largest salt flats in the Canary Islands, the Salinas del Janubio, where we will enjoy a panoramic view.
